Sesderma appoints Luis Doussinague as its new CEO and General Manager to strengthen its commitment to the pharmacy channel and its scientific leadership in dermocosmetics
- The new CEO and General Manager has over 20 years of experience in the pharmaceutical and dermocosmetics sectors, with a career closely tied to community pharmacies and dermatological prescriptions, having recently led ISDIN in Spain.
- His appointment, ratified by the new Board of Directors chaired by Rafael Garabito (JB CAPITAL), places the pharmacy channel and scientific investment at the center of the company’s new era.
September 2026 — Laboratorios Sesderma, a company founded in the field of dermatology and an international leader in dermocosmetic innovation and advanced skin treatments, has announced the appointment of Luis Doussinague as its new CEO and General Manager. His appointment, approved by the Board of Directors as part of the implementation of the group’s new corporate governance model, marks the first major strategic milestone following JB CAPITAL’s acquisition of executive control and capital injection.
Sesderma was founded over three decades ago by dermatology professionals, and that scientific and clinical focus remains its defining characteristic today. Every one of the company’s formulas is developed and validated in collaboration with dermatologists and pharmacists, and it is precisely this origin that positions pharmacies as the brand’s natural and priority distribution channel.
Doussinague’s appointment to the top executive position is a result of his proven track record spanning more than two decades in the health and self-care sector, coupled with his in-depth knowledge of the pharmaceutical channel. In his most recent leadership role as Country Manager for ISDIN in Spain, he drove the brand’s positioning in key categories such as advanced sun protection and anti-aging routines, working closely with pharmacists, dermatologists, and aesthetic physicians to consolidate a strategic vision for the dermo cosmetic business grounded in pharmaceutical prescriptions and advice.
A roadmap focused on science and on strengthening the pharmacy channel
In his new role leading the company’s operational management, Doussinague will spearhead the implementation of Sesderma’s transformation plan, which will be built on three pillars:
1. Strengthening the commitment to the pharmacy channel and regaining leadership in Spain. Sesderma will focus on growth in the Spanish market by providing pharmacists with excellent service, training, and scientific support, thereby reinforcing the role of the pharmacy as a trusted prescriber. The company will bring on board a top-tier management team to accelerate this transformation, consolidating a model of close and specialized relationships with pharmacies and dermatologists.
2. Consolidation and international expansion of the model based on medical prescriptions and pharmaceutical advice. Sesderma will strengthen its position in the markets where it already operates through the pharmaceutical and dermatological channels, while accelerating its global expansion by entering new markets and strengthening its international presence alongside its partners.
3. Promoting scientific leadership and dermatological innovation. The company will increase its investment in research and development, its hallmark since its inception. Sesderma will continue to focus on proprietary technologies that place it at the forefront of dermocosmetic development, and will strengthen its collaboration with dermatologists, pharmacists, and scientific institutions to continue validating its efficacy with clinical evidence.
In addition, the new CEO and Managing Director will oversee the optimization of production and logistics capabilities at the company’s industrial plants in Valencia, backed by the strong financial results for fiscal year 2025, during which the company reported revenue of 140 million euros and EBITDA of 25 million euros.
“Joining Sesderma to lead this new executive phase is an exciting challenge. Our goal is clear: to strengthen our commitment to pharmacies, dermatologists, and aesthetic physicians; to continue investing in science and clinical evidence; and to make this laboratory a global leader in its field of origin: dermatology,” stated Luis Doussinague, CEO of Grupo Sesderma.
