Sesderma appoints Rosina Álvarez-Cascos as Marketing and Communications Director

Sesderma nombra a Rosina Álvarez-Cascos directora de Marketing y Comunicación.

The appointment marks a new phase of growth led by Luis Doussinague, CEO and Managing Director, built on science, innovation and the company’s reputation.

Sesderma has appointed Rosina Álvarez-Cascos as Marketing and Communications Director (CMO). Her appointment strengthens the team led by Luis Doussinague, the company’s CEO and Managing Director.

Rosina Álvarez-Cascos brings more than 20 years of international experience in the dermocosmetics sector. Her career includes roles at Shiseido, notably as Executive Director, Global Programs, based in New York, as well as more recent work as a marketing and digital acceleration consultant.

The appointment comes as the Spanish dermatology laboratory enters a new phase, with JB Capital as a key shareholder. The company is finalising a strategic growth plan focused on science and innovation to build on its research-driven DNA and develop new products. Its objectives include expanding its workforce, which currently numbers around 1,000, and doubling revenue over the medium term.

“Sesderma has a strong scientific foundation and significant growth potential. At this stage, we want to translate these strengths into better service and closer relationships with the healthcare community. Rosina’s appointment reflects our commitment to strengthening the team to support the development of the business,” says Luis Doussinague, CEO and Managing Director of Sesderma.

For Álvarez-Cascos, the project presents a twofold challenge: to regain Sesderma’s leadership in Spain by strengthening its ties with the pharmacy network, and to expand its international presence while preserving the qualities that define its identity.

“We want to build closer relationships with pharmacists and dermatologists, starting in Spain, and bring Sesderma’s scientific expertise to more markets. These relationships must continue to guide how we grow and respond to the needs of those who recommend and use our products,” says Rosina Álvarez-Cascos.

The company has a laboratory where more than 50 professionals conduct research and develop new products and quality processes. Sesderma’s proprietary Nanotech technology, based on the encapsulation of active ingredients in nanoscale liposomes, together with its commitment to biotechnology applied to increasingly preventive skincare aimed at promoting skin longevity, defines its approach to dermocosmetics. Through collaborations with universities and specialist medical societies, the company also provides training to more than 5,000 doctors worldwide as part of its commitment to supporting the healthcare community with scientific knowledge.

Sesderma is a Spanish dermatological laboratory founded in 1989 by Dr. Gabriel Serrano, a world-renowned dermatologist.
