On 24–25 February, Dermopartners, the third-party manufacturing division of Grupo Sesderma, participated in the biannual meeting of the European SOLRESS consortium, held in Madrid under the coordination of CSIC.
This working session represented an important milestone for the project, bringing together international partners to review the progress achieved and coordinate the next phases of work
A project aligned with the circular bioeconomy
Solress aims to develop and validate efficient, cost-competitive, and safe-by-design bio-based solvents as sustainable alternatives to fossil-based solvents in key industrial applications.
The project focuses on transforming renewable raw materials and plant-based by-products through advanced biotechnological processes. It also integrates sustainability assessment and digital tools to ensure industrial feasibility.
During the meeting, updates were shared across the entire value chain, reinforcing the consortium’s multidisciplinary approach.
Bridging research and industry
The programme also included a visit to EDIBON’s industrial facilities, strengthening the connection between research, industrial scale-up, and real-market application.
In this context, Dermopartners contributes its expertise in formulation development and third-party manufacturing, helping transform scientific research into viable, scalable industrial solutions aligned with the quality standards of the dermocosmetic sector.
Participation in European projects such as SOLRESS reinforces Grupo Sesderma’s commitment to innovation, sustainability, and international collaboration.
