Laboratorios SESDERMA has inaugurated its new logistics warehouse, built next to the facilities of its modern manufacturing plant and office building located in Puçol, Valencia. With over 6,500 m2 and a storage capacity of 12,000 pallets, this increases the logistics area of the Valencian company by more than 30%.
The modern logistics space has been built in record time, just 10 months, and has required an investment of over four million euros. These new facilities will enable the company to achieve the objective of producing 100 million units per year, a historic milestone which required to expand the storage capacity, optimize logistics procedures and unify the different facilities that for decades fulfilled these functions in Rafelbunyol in a single space located next to the manufacturing plant.
Strategic Decisions
After the inauguration of the company headquarters in Puçol in 2018, the purpose of bringing together all the facilities and their staff in one location became a strategic matter. “For us,” says Dr. Gabriel Serrano with complete satisfaction, “it was a challenge to build a single workplace for all the workers of SESDERMA VALENCIA. In addition, we have reduced the environmental impact of our activity, save on production costs and are preparing ourselves for the great challenge that we face in the coming years, which is to manufacture one hundred million units of product in these facilities, of which more than 80% will be destined to international markets”.
The event was attended by the Mayor of Puçol, Paz Carceller; the General Director of Industry, Manuel Rosalén, as well as the Consul of Colombia in Valencia, Gillian Maghmud, among other authorities, customers, and suppliers. SESDERMA is a powerful economic engine for Puçol and for the regions of L’Horta and Camp de Morvedre, as its industrial activity generates an important flow of demand for services to local, regional, or provincial suppliers.
